Sarah's Story

Introducing Sarah, the founder of Youmsara

Sarah’s journey began growing up in a large household. She would often seek the sanctuary of her own thoughts & translate them through art at an early age. She developed a joy of drawing and illustrations which gave her a means of channelling her emotions and expressing her thoughts through imagery. 

Sarah’s mother Hala was & still is a talented dressmaker. Having six other siblings, yes SIX usually meant disposable income was rarely available, so Hala would often make and create various styles of clothing & attire for her family.

Sarah would watch attentively as her mother would create various items of apparel ranging from school uniforms, tracksuits, pyjamas and even formal wear such as dresses and gowns. Through this experience she got to witness firsthand the process involved in creating wearable garments from scratch. 

She had found a new way to express her creativity and imagination. Her love of art and illustrations began to gravitate towards designing clothing with her mother. 

Inspired by her travel experiences whilst living abroad as well as her heritage, Sarah has created an Australian made and owned line that exudes elegance without compromising functionality. To be worn as everyday essentials or as statement pieces for that special occasion.

Considerate to all a woman is & can be YOUMSARA looks to celebrate “you” by means of dressing one to look and feel their best self.
